Police are "hopeful and optimistic" that a $50,000 reward will help them find the shooter who killed a pregnant woman and her baby in Jamestown last year.
It was a year ago this week that Candice Rochelle Bobb was shot while in a car with friends. They were going home after a basketball game.
Her baby boy was delivered via a C-section and died a few weeks later.
One theory police have is that the car was targeted because it drew attention to itself after making a U-turn. Det. Sgt. Mike Carbone has said that might have been perceived a threat.
No arrests have been made.
Carbone announced the reward at police headquarters, with Bobb's mother at his side.
"To the killer, we're asking you to turn yourself in," Jackie Weir said. "It has been a year, and you're out there enjoying life.
"You don't deserve to have that freedom. We haven't been free in over a year."
She pleaded with anyone who has information to contact police.
Carbone insists that the investigation is still moving forward, but admits that they need a witness or someone with information to come forward.
