Toronto police have recaptured a man who escaped custody at a North York courthouse earlier this week.
Jumar Lennon was arrested Friday afternoon at the Albion mall near Finch and Kipling Aves, after police received tips from the public.
The 24-year-old had escaped on Tuesday while waiting in a courtroom prisoner's box.
Const. David Hopkinson says police believe Lennon was involved in a violent robbery in Rexdale the day after he escaped.
Lennon was captured on video by a TTC bus passenger running from court officers.
Hopkinson says Lennon will be charged with escaping lawful custody.
