Constable Amy Oliver was working paid duty Thursday night at a car meet in Vaughan when a rap battle broke out.
As it turns out, Oliver has been freestyle rapping for years so, on a whim, she jumped up on stage to show off her skills.
"And that's the amazing thing about policing," says York Region Constable Andy Pattenden. "We all have different skills that we bring to the community."
The whole thing was, of course, caught on camera.
Pattenden says Oliver, who is usually pretty quite, was surprised by the response on social media. "I don't think she was at all anticipating that this was going to turn into a viral video."
