A Markham restaurant owner was having none of it.
One man has been arrested and police are looking for a second after a weekend robbery at an all-day breakfast restaurant.
The owner of that restaurant reportedly chased down the suspects in his car and rammed their getaway vehicle.
York police say they were called at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
They say two men, one armed with a gun, took cash from the register and then took off.
The restaurant owner hopped in his car and managed to chase them down, ramming into their getaway car.
The two suspects ran. One was arrested after reportedly barricading himself inside a porta-potty.
Markham Ward 6 Councillor, Godwin Chan, tells CBC Toronto that business owners have been worried about a growing number of robberies in the area.
Toronto Police are also investigating several robberies of Chinese-owned businesses in northeast Scarborough.
