A scary situation for a young girl and a sea lion in British Columbia on Saturday.
Video posted online starts off innocently enough as people are "ohing" and "ahing" over the playful pup at a wharf in Steveston, B.C.
Then it shows the animal jumping up and grabbing the girl who was sitting on a ledge and had her back to the water.
Bystanders scream as a man believed to be her father jumps in to help her. They were pulled to safety unharmed.
Local resident Michael Fujiwara managed to capture the incident on video footage that has already been viewed online more than two million times.
Fujiwara tells CTV News Channel that he was recording the sea lion when a group of people, including a young girl in a dress, arrived and started feeding it bread crumbs.
Fujiwara believes the man who jumped in the water to save her is her Grandfather.
Neither of the pair were injured, just shaken up.
