The City of Toronto invited NEWSTALK 1010 to stop by its maintenance yard near Lakeshore Boulevard and Leslie so we could check out its new snow-clearing equipment.
Hundreds of plows, salters, and spreaders are tuned up and ready to roll when the flakes fly.
Officials say $94 million has been spent on bolstering Toronto's snow-clearing budget for the upcoming winter.
