These weren't kids messing around, but two grown men have been charged in a pair of laser strikes on the York Regional Police helicopter.
The first incident happened happened on Thursday of last week, near Rutherford Road and Islington, and officers in the chopper managed to track down the man in a residential area.
A 44-year-old man from Vaughan is facing three charges including mischief endangering life.
A second, unrelated incident happened on Friday, this time near Birchmount Road and Enterprise Blvd in Markham.
The suspect in this case was a little harder to track, since they were standing on the balcony of a hotel.
In that case, a 52-year-old man from Markham was arrested and faces several charges including michief endangering life and obstruct police.
Police are still looking for a third person, involved in a laser strike on their helicopter, that happened on Saturday in Richmond Hill.
In that case, police would only say they are still investigating.
