Not what frustrated customers of Canada Post wanted to hear Saturday morning.
Just days after nearly 50,000 employees of the crown corporation were legislated back to work, picket lines have gone up at Canada's busiest distribution centre in Mississauga.
Members of CUPE, OPSEU as well as other unions are staging the pickets in response to the back to work legislation passed by the Federal government earlier this week.
OPSEU president Chris Buckley, speaking with our media partner CP24 Saturday morning, pointed the finger for the picketing at the Gateway distribution Facility, the largest in Canada, right at Canada Post, for not bargaining in good faith with CUPW.
"Canada Post knew if they stalled the bargaining process, sooner or later the Federal government would order these workers back to work. We're showing the workers in this facility they have the support of the Ontario labour movement."
For one CUPE member, the solidarity shown by all unions Saturday should be seen as a strong message to the Crown Corporation and Federal government.
"There are unionized workers here today to stand with the postal workers to say enough is enough. Go back to the table negotiate with these folks, treat them fairly."
The picketing just part of what is being called a day of action across Canada, including in front of the offices of MP for Toronto-Danforth Julie Dabrusin.
In a tweet Saturday morning, Canada Post called the picketing by the unions "illegal" and pointed to a court ordered injuction they have posted on-site "preventing the blockading of all Canada Post facilities in Ontario, including our Gateway Facility in Mississauga."
We've experienced illegal picketing at several facilities by persons who are not employees. The Ontario Superior Court issued an injunction to prevent the blockade of any facilities in Ont., which protesters are violating. We will take all appropriate action to address this. pic.twitter.com/nsP32MtsGu

The pickets are expected to remain in place through 10 p.m. Saturday night. Postal trucks were not being allowed to leave or enter the facility by the blockades.
