Officials at Pearson airport are asking for travellers to continue to be patient, as they finish up some critical construction work on their busiest runway.
Rehabilitation work and re-paving is being done on one of five runways at the airport, which is at the end of its life.
Crews have been working mostly 24/7 since late March.
Some travellers have complained about delays at the airport since construction began.
GTAA spokesperson Erin Kennedy admits that the work has affected passengers, but she says this work had to be done now.
She says the bigger issue has been unexpected weather - high winds and rain - that have affected scheduling on the four remaining runways.
She adds, though, that construction is still on schedule. It is expected to be completed on May 16.
More work is scheduled to take place in the fall.
