Peel Region is being hit hard by COVID-19.
It has half the population of Toronto and slightly more active cases. Officials say about three quarters of new cases are in Brampton.
Part of the recent spike involves a workplace outbreak that has sickened more than 60 people.
While the workplace is in Mississauga, Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown has said many of the workers are residents of his city.
Peel Public Health won't name the business when there is no clear risk to the public, citing privacy concerns.
It's a policy that Brown would like to see changed.
He tells the Globe and Mail that officials should be fully transparent about where outbreaks happen.
