Now you can add a bottle of Cabernet or Chardonnay to your shopping cart before you get to the checkout.
The sale of wine at up to 70 grocery stores across Ontario begins Friday.
This is apart from the more than 100 Wine Rack kiosks beyond the grocery registers. While the Wine Rack only sells wines from owned by Constellation Brands Canada, like Jackson-Triggs, Inniskillin, and Naked Grape, the new in-store sales will open up new options to buy both domestic and imported wines.
There are major grocery chains getting into the wine game like Loblaws, Walmart, Sobeys, and Metro. Some smaller, more regional players like Farm Boy, Coppa's Fresh Market and Starsky's Fine Foods are also joining in.
Coppa's North York location on Dufferin St, north of Finch Ave W will sell wine.
