A woman in her 30s is in hospital with serious injuries after getting hit by a car in Scarborough, while she was holding a young child.
Cst. Allyson Douglas-Cook said it happened around 7 p.m. near the intersection of Morningside Ave. and Milner Ave., and it appears the woman's injuries were to her legs.
"There's a bit more concern with this particular one because the woman was holding a reportedly three-year-old child," she said.
However, Douglas-Cook added it does not appear the child's injuries are serious.
It's not clear if the woman is the child's mother and the driver involved did remain on scene.
Police closed off the intersection to investigate.
