Things could have ended a whole lot worse for a Mississauga woman.
She had to be rescued after running back into her burning home to try to save her Chihuahua.
The fire broke out early this morning at a home near Dixie and the QEW.
Everyone managed to get out but she raced back in when she realized the dog was missing.
She was pulled out of the house by two Peel Police officers.
She went to hospital for smoke inhalation.
The dog is still missing.
