A two pronged car accident on Keele st. Sunday morning around 11:30.
Two vehicles, a silver sedan and a red SUV, collided near Keele and Annette. The impact sent one of the cars towards
a sidewalk striking a pedestrian. a woman in her 60's,who was rushed to Sunnybrook Trauma Centre. The occupants
of the suv that struck her, suffered minor injuries. In all 4 people were sent to hospital.
Sgt. Allen Cohen of Toronto Police Service describing the chain of events to CP24. " The silver vehicle was headed northbound on Keele st.
the red SUV was going eastbound on Annette. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. As a result of the collision, the red SUV
was directed off the road way and struck a pedestrian who was on the northeast corner."
After striking the victim, the SUV ended up in the yard of a nearby house, striking the side wall.
The home owner, Stephen Lynch, was inside at the time and acknowledged to CP24 he heard something.
" I was sitting in the house and I heard a loud sound of collision and immediately followed by a vehicle striking the house not very hard. Something was knocked off the shelf but other than that I haven't seen any damage."
The cause of the collision is under investigation. No further word on the injured woman at this time.
