York Regional Police are asking for the public's assistance tracking down a suspect wanted for a string of robberies at senior retirement homes in Richmond Hill.
Police allege the female suspect entered different residences beginning on July 30th and as late as August 18th.
In the first instance, the woman entered a retirement home on Elgin Mills Road East, just east of Bayview Avenue around 12:30 p.m., walked into at least three rooms, removing $95 in cash out of a wallet from one of the rooms,while the victim lay in bed nearby, believing that the suspect was a staff member.
The latest incident occurred on August 18th around 3 p.m. when the same suspect entered another retirement home on Elgin Mills Road East, just east of Yonge Street, hitting at least five private suites, posing as a staff member. She then went through the belongings of victims and in one instance, walked off with $850 in cash.
Police confirm none of the victims were physically injured during the incidents.
The suspect is described as female, white, approximately 30 years age with a thin build, long wavy brown hair and was wearing glasses.
