Ontario's Horse racing industry is struggling.
It's subsidized by the Ontario government, expected to be given up to $105 million dollars a year over the next several years.
With that in mind, you may be surprised by the salaries of some of Woodbine's top employees. These are names you will not see on the Sunshine List.
The Toronto Star reports that the CEO of Woodbine Entertainment Group made over $750,000 last year.
That would put him in the top 10 on the Sunshine List but horse racing is not included in the province's annual listing of public servants making over $100,000.
The industry has it's own, separate high-earners list, quietly released by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.
69 of Woodbine's employees are on that list.
Executives and employees from just six of Ontario's 15 racetracks earned a combined $11 million last year.
