A construction worker is in hospital after falling about 150 feet down into a confined space.
The accident happened Sunday at about 10 a.m. at a site located on the corner of Ninth Line and 16th Avenue in Markham.
Firefighters worked for more than two hours to free the worker.
York Regional Police tell NEWSTALK1010 the individual was was then taken to hospital with undisclosed injuries, although earlier reports stated that they weren't believed to be life threatening.
The Ministry of Labour has been called in to investigate.
