Premier Kathleen Wynne says that Donald Trump's "protectionist rhetoric" is "very dangerous for the continent."
The U.S. presidential candidate has said that the North American Free Trade Agreement is a "disaster" and has threatened to pull the country out of the deal.
Wynne shared her thoughts on Trump's comments at a Toronto Region Board of Trade event Wednesday.
"I don't think it's good for Ontario. I don't think it's good for the United States, and I don't think it's good for the world."
Wynne told reporters that she has spent her time as premier trying to turn the chairs outwards.
"If we're going to compete, we're going to have to compete globally."
She said that you lose when you "buy into" building walls and protecting yourselves from the world.
