Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health says more COVID-19 restrictions will be announced for some areas today.
"We will recommend that health units move up in the framework," Dr. David Williams said on Thursday.
He would not say which areas could be affected.
York Region's Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Karim Kurji, told the Jim Richards Showgram earlier this week that he believes York Region will be put into lockdown, "but these decisions are complex decisions and I think they're still being made."
York Regional Council is asking the province to hold off for at least another week.
