A man who has taught science since 1989 in York Region, has been charged with allegedly sexually assaulting a student.
64-year-old Frank Defina lives in Vaughan, but taught at St. Robert Catholic High School.
York Regional Police started the investigating on February 23rd, after they received information about a teenage student who was reportedly sexually assaulted by a teacher.
Defina has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and one count each of sexual exploitation and sexual interference.
Investigators would like to make sure there are no further potential victims, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
Defina will be in court on March 21st.
